We had already covered all three directions we go. The first time she refused to go to the left in the photo, so I picked her up and carried her so I could get my phone which I left behind. She went left the second time when we got back there. This photo was taken on the way back from going down to the footbridge at the end of the service road. She nearly always stops to poop on the way back (so we walk on the far side). She wanted to go investigate the driveway I think. Anyway, I ended up carrying her home — stinky thing, she needs a bath. But I have a crook back today.
That’s pretty funny. My dog does that a little but I’m sure she doesn’t do it more because she’s anxious for the treat or dinner she gets when we get home (depending on time of day of course). Problem with my dog is her tricking me to let her out just so she can run right back in and get a treat…tricksters they are! She’s cute btw. 😉
I can’t let Vika out the yard without a leash. She has turned playing chasy into an art. So, on the odd time she has managed to get out, I just ignore her or just shout about bones, or something to eat, over my shoulder as I walk away. She was lucky she never runover the first time. She was heading straight towards the highway when a truck tooted, thank goodness.
My dog isn’t so great with listening either. Whether or not she listens depends on whether or not she’d rather run after another dog or cat or squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, you name it. But when just us she doesn’t go far. I grew up with dogs though that were gone once they got out the door; we used to yell to them about treats and food too, sometimes worked.
