A blast from the past, fits with the maroon theme. Photo 2008
I’d probably been walking around all day with the hanger loop hanging out the neckline of my blouse. Little grand-daughter was barely a week old.

Hey There you are! Now that’s what I call a thousand megawatt smile right there!
You’re very pretty for a grandma – with or without the hanger loop hanging out ;D
I love this pic, thanks for sharing Christine!

She tried to tell you but you didn’t listen, that’s why she is crying. She’s gorgeous, any updates on the young lady?

I added up on my fingers Sue, and she must be at school now! I’m a pretty rotten grandma. I think she was five last birthday, but I’m wary about birthday card with a number on it now since I sent one a year too young. First thing she said when I saw her that Xmas, very indignant – Nana, I’m not six! 😀 Anyway, she should have been glad to get a card, I’m a bit slack that way too.

Lovely, you and the granddaughter both. I’m sure it’s amazing re-discovering this picture and comparing it to how she looks now 🙂 Thank you for sharing.

What a sweet photo memory. There is nothing like a new grandchild.

I get nervous holding them, and worry I’ll be asked to change a nappy. It’s amazing how you forget your motherhood with newborns — probably just me!

Gorgeous shot, Christine ! Who bloody cares about the hanger loop ?! – all we care about is the joy on your face.

Yeah, I do look pretty happy. This is my daughter’s fourth (and final) child.

Oh yes, all gorgeous M-R, 3 girls and 1 boy. The elder girl has not long become a teenager.

Must cause you some angst. [grin]
They say it’s lovely being a grandma – all the joy and little of the responsibility.

Beautiful and happy photo, full of memories.
And at least it wasn’t toilet paper hanging out the back, after a trip to a public restroom (I’ll leave that to your visual imagination, as thankfully there is no photographic evidence — that I know of!! — to document the moment).

It was over thirty years ago — during University days — and I have, thankfully, little specific memories other than:
1. We were probably all so, um, out of it that no one noticed.
2. If anyone did notice, I don’t *think* they said anything (I really don’t remember; reference #1 “we were all so out of it”).
3. If anyone did notice, perhaps it saved them embarrassment in the future? because ….
4. I learned to ALWAYS CHECK BEFORE LEAVING, so perhaps they did too. 🙂
Hope you’re having/have had a lovely strap-and-paper-free-day in your part of the world! 🙂
