I think I see them … [grin] OF COURSE I do !
I adore wood ducks, and you must’ve been thrilled have them wandering around. More pic.s of wood ducks, please !!!!
The ducks aren’t hanging around out front like they were late last month. The food source must be dried up. These ones let me get close, even with the dog. I sent this from my phone so had no idea what it would look like this new theme. In your face, a bit, but I love it. Okay for a decent photo.
Hi Sue, most of the year they camp around a dam in the farm next door. These are the only pair venturing out of the paddock now – there were about five pairs at one stage wandering the length of the service road. One poor duck lost his mate, squashed on the road. He was pretty upset.
I looked it up, and apparently they don’t actually mate for life. He might go a season without, but will be right next year. Phew, I feel better about that. 😀

Do you get them often, aren’t they cute when they have their little ones following them around?

Hello Kayti, I have to admit, I was going for the scene more than the ducks.
