Today, as I write, the rain is a persistent heavy drizzle, and the outdoor temperature about 16 C. Yesterday was a lovely 31 C. The 36 hours earlier produced an inch of rain (25mm).
Before it all began, we had a glorious sunset. The next day, I had to put a raincoat on to take the dog for her walk.
Constant bubbles rose to the surface of the puddles, as air in the soil was displaced.
But the ants knew more was to come … I’ve never seen nest ramparts built so high. The pine cone was already there, it wasn’t a prop.
The wet brought the snails out … nearly stepped on this pair.
Vika loved her walk, as usual, no matter the weather. She would love to get a closer look at the honey stall across the road on the weekends. Honey mainly, but eggs, tomatoes and horse manure too.
All photos taken with the Nokia phone camera, on auto.
Sky? Pond? Other critters? Wow. What an opportunity. Wonderful photos and I’m sure, amazing goals. 😀 😀 😀

Love the photo’s. The rain is wonderful, but I hope you don’t have the weather we had yesterday, it was so humid, about 94%. Had air con on last night and I looked out the window and it was covered in condensation, so walked outside and it was like walking into a sauna. Much better today, still drizzly but nice and cool.

It’s not too bad Sue, but it would get steamy if the sun stayed out, no doubt. Pleasant about 23 C, both in and outside the house. 🙂

Barbara, I must pop over to your blog and see how your garden is fairing – I had a quick look at an email notification that arrived … ❤

Crikey, CJR – if you have to keep avoiding snails in the wet, you must be high-stepping like a show-pony ! 😀

Ooooh, M-R, I hate the way they crunch underfoot. No, seriously – they aren’t usually out in the open like these two. But they looked a bit ‘distracted’. 😀

True, and I thought as much. Mother Nature can be cruel, eh ? – making the single urge so great as to permit their being stepped on.

I love these photos, Christine. Such a carefully balanced selection. The sunset is awesome and the snails and air bubble are an added delight. Great stuff. Your weather seems almost as changeable as ours!
