Where was the sun last week! I wanted glorious sunsets over the Aldinga Beach sands.
I wanted brilliant photos of pelicans and other sea-birds against blue skies.
What a difference a few days make. It was minus 2 (Celsius) this morning and the day is sunny again, just like it has been every day since we headed home on Wednesday.
And here is Vika.
She likes walking in the middle of the road on our way back down the side of our block. Yesterday was the first day she suddenly ran off towards me. I looked up. The neighbour was just driving out of his driveway. Vika is finally learning about cars. She usually just stands still and I have to scoop her up and carry her to the verge.
Have a nice day. 🙂
Isn’t it always the way. But at least your getting a nice welcome back home. Sue

-2C! I didn’t realize it would get that cold. In contrast, we’ve had a beautiful May and everything is looking green and lush again.

It’s a really vivid green too, Joanne. Wet today, so the grass will keep on growing. It was a frost yestersday. Sometimes we get -6C, but it does warm up later on thank goodness.

Dear Christine, so sorry the sun had other plans. Minus 2 is darn cold. I had no idea you had such frigid temperatures either. Maybe this week will be kinds and Mr. Sun comes back? ❤
Vika is so cute and I'm not even a dog person. 😮

Lucky it was only in the morning, I think it reached all of 16 or 17 later on. Today is wet, wet, wet!

Not nice at all. 😦

Even without the sun, your beach photos are lovely, Christine – very moody/brooding. They’re in great contrast to the pic of the American sycamore, too. And Vika … well, she’s just a little cutie. 🙂

Thanks Millie. And phooey to those people who say an author’s platform shouldn’t have pictures of their pets!

There are some strange ‘rules’ around – but who are those people who actually devise them, I wonder? 🙂

Ohh, sorry about that pesky sun. It often misbehaves for me too. We have huge sycamores here. I love how they stand out in such contrast to the gray and brown trunks of the other trees.

I just found out what type of tree it was a few weeks ago, Barbara. It is only a little one, and I imagine whole stands of them would be wonderful all year round. Even in winter it kept hold of some of its balls. 🙂
