Busy Bees

beestree

I can’t remember the name of this tree. Its blossoms attract hordes of bees, and give Mr R a touch of hay-fever. This year, the load of blossoms was heavier, and the bees kept on coming. Since it’s right by our back door, we have a challenge in remembering to move slowly.  The worst is over, the constant loud humming has ceased.

I managed to catch sunlight on wings. The ant on the leaf was a nice surprise.

Have a good day. 🙂

Love the way the blue sky shows through. I had to do a detour around a humming bush the other day, lucky I realized what the humming was (usually day dreaming when I walk). Stinking hot here, didn’t go for walk this morning, did the shopping instead, cupboard was getting rather bare, that was enough exercise. Dog hurt his leg yesterday when he jumped down from the sofa (that’s my excuse).

    • No blue skies here, at the moment, Sue. Yesterday was gloomy and it’s raining this morning. Still warm though – 22C at 7:30am. I can’t walk without the dog, either. It just wouldn’t be fair. 🙂

His leg is better today & the bush still buzzing, but not as loudly, as its losing it’s flowers very quickly. Rained last night so this morning was lovely and cool, but I think it will be muggy as the day wears on. Was very hot inside overnight & thought about opening all the doors & windows but it would be too noisy, being on a main road.

  3. Glad to hear, Sue – about the leg. If we leave our front window open, I have to remember to shut it before the trucks start whizzing by, about 4am. Overnight visitors have a hard time coping with the traffic noise. I’m used to it, and being pretty deaf helps! Only around 30C today!
