Rarely see kookaburras here these days, Sue, but I do see them no and then on the next block. I think other birds will eat the skinks, too. They are a wary lot. 🙂
When I was little the people at the back had a wire rigged up high above the house for their radio and the Kookaburras used to perch on that. It always surprised me that they were as small as they were. Expected them to be a lot bigger for some reason.
Hope you don’t have too many kookaburras around. Healthy looking fella, should keep the garden free of bugs.
