Rain on the Swamp Mallet bark, at this time of the year, throws up an interesting palette. The camera picks up more brilliance than I can see with my naked eye.

Hi Sue, there are lots of types, apparently, some with vivid red splashes as the old bark comes off. When water brings out the gold, this one is really stunning. Thanks for dropping in. 🙂

Have noticed on some of the smooth barked gums they have tinges of colour but nothing as dramatic as this. Absolutely perfect.
