Julius was thrilled with the fog this morning. Told me I should put my lights on as everyone else had theirs on. Only takes 3 minutes to get to school and it wasn’t very heavy. The animals should be loving it. Around here the weeds are growing very well and everything is a lovely green.
In Victoria, it’s a traffic violation not to use your lights in fog and in all situations where the light levels are low. Of course, it is illegal to use fog lights when there isn’t any fog. 🙂
My car doesn’t have fog lights. The best thing to do is to stay at home and look out the window. Long time since I have experienced a” pea-souper”, had to gutter crawl very slowly, it was that bad. Do you remember when your dad had coloured cellophane that he put over the headlights when it was foggy?
It was the same stuff you wrap presents in and bright orange. You took off the surround of the head light (that was when you could change your globes yourself without having to disassemble the whole front of the car) placed it over the top of the glass, then screwed the frame back on. Cheaper than getting fog lights and worked just as well.
So, fog lights were invented back then, I thought they were a newer thing. I’ve used cellophane to take the brightness off the digital clock display. I do recall being able to change headlight globes yourself.

Spring is in the air, Sue. I’ve never had cause to use my fog lamps yet, but I know how to turn them on. 🙂
