I scattered a few sunflower seeds on my front fence yesterday. The rainbow lorikeets paid a visit. These photos taken this morning with the Nikon D3000, and edited in GIMP.
FUNNY HOW SO MANY OF OUR BIRDS ARE SO NOISY. THERE HAVE BEEN A COUPLE AT THE MOMENT FLYING AROUND THAT I HAVE NEVER HEARD BEFORE. HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO CATCH SIGHT OF THEM. WE USED TO GET SOME BLACK ONES, FROM KANGAROO ISLAND, WITH RED CRESTS, MY GOD THEY WERE DEAFENING. PEOPLE WHOSE TREE THEY USED TO PERCH ON, CUT IT DOWN SO I DON’T KNOW IF THEY STILL VISIT
Gorgeous little things, beautiful colours. Amazing how they can hide in the trees with those bright colours.

If they weren’t so noisy, one wouldn’t know they were there! Thanks for dropping by, Sue. 🙂

Probably not, there was probably something about that particular tree that they liked.
