Yeah, when it ‘flowers’ – who would have thought. That’s what those buds are. Later, when they turn into berries, the currawongs arrive on their annual visitation.

I haven’t laid eyes on a currawong for longer than I’ve been in Geelong. 😦

They can often be seen down the back lane – but only come to my yard when the ivy has berries. Very nutritious, apparently.

Then that’s alright – that the currawongs are getting nutrition, I mean. If they would only come here I’d grow ivy just for them !
