Today’s walk was done last Saturday 29th. Since we had the car out for a wood delivery, we decided to pop into town, and walk a bit of Forest Drive, from the Northern end.

It’s here I saw the broom and a single bee

We didn’t walk far, for I’m having a bit of trouble with my breathing, now  and then, following a chest infection over six weeks ago. The covid-19 test was negative. I had a chest x-ray today and have a phone consultation booked for Monday. My doc wishes to exclude malignancies. Yikes, so do I! FYI, I haven’t smoked for nigh on 30 years.

There a small hobby vineyard back near the park that we’d walked through to get to Forest Drive. Planting gardens in old cars is a bit of a thing here nowadays.

The birds were elusive. Saw a fan-tailed flycatcher and a pair of plovers.

And that’s it. Hopped in the car, took off our face masks, and drove home.

  1. I love the plovers, too ! – silly things, laying their eggs any bloody where .. but they are so true to each other that I know this one’s partner was somewhere close by.

    Lovely walk. Hope the tests are ok. Neighbour around the corner has a sycamore in his front garden. The seed pods are a bugga when you stand on them. Nearly come a cropper a couple of times, now I kick them away when I walk along the path.
    Have been having a lot of trouble with bigpond, it is driving me crazy. For the last 3 weeks I have only had about 3 days worth of access. Have sent messages and then today when I sent another message, at the bottom there was a reply, very easy to miss, stating we know some people are etc etc etc. So it’s a matter of just waiting. What pissed me off more is that today got latest bill and its gone up $5.

    • We get unlimited internet with Bigpond, and I was pretty surprised when they took the price DOWN $10.00! Never stood on a sycamore pod but believe it’d be horrible. Thanks for dropping in Sue. 🙂

    Yes, ours is unlimited as well. But at the moment not being able to access emails is very annoying. When you do get in there are heaps of emails to open. But when you go to delete or you open to read, you can’t get back into the mail page, just get loading again then timed out. Even when you go to log out you get the same.
    Standing on a sycamore pod is like standing on a walnut sized rock, so you have to be careful.
    Hope all goes well with the check up, should be fine.
