Not leaving it to the last minute this time. Jennifer’s One Word Photo Challenge: Chocolate

Amazingly, there are chocolatey tones in this sunset over the Glenelg Jetty, Adelaide, 2010.

Using my FinePix A607 digital camera.

Thinking so much about chocolate, makes it really hard to ignore that box of unopened chocolate mini bars in my fridge, since Christmas. Yes, it is still there.  🙂

I have no excuse for the lack of mint sauce at my house! I refuse to buy it, since it is so easily made. But I never seem to get around to it. I’ve never tried iced mint tea, either, which sounds very refreshing.

Added later: reminders of the minty drinks  for me to try: Moroccan mint tea; mint julep;  mojito; and cucumber mint juice (see comments).

new growth on rose bush

Photo taken, just now on my phone, for Jennifer’s One Word Photo Challenge: Carmine.

This is my standard rose tree – much more than a bush. There are two branches from earlier in the year, not yet trimmed, soaring skywards. New growth is sprouting. The leaves will turn green as they age.

Carmine is the general term for some deep red colors that are very slightly purplish but are generally slightly closer to red than the color crimson is.
