Bees & Bugs

Honey Bee’s Proboscis

Hello people,  I’m back from a trip away over our Easter break. Leaving Thursday morning for Condobolin, New South Wales, we arrived home yesterday around 6pm. I had a wonderful visit with my brother and his wife. Who knows? I may actually tell you about it. I’ve a bad track record for following up, so I will not promise this time.

The bird’s water bowl and the top two tiers of my fibreglass pond dried up while we were away, even though the weather was predicted to be coolish.

In my garden

It has rained these last few days, bringing cooler weather, and  snails.

Before the rain, we had very hot days and blue skies, with droves of bees loving the flowering ivy. At this time last year, we had lots of wasps but it looks like the bees are winning in 2016.

I hope you are having a good day.  Thanks for looking.   🙂
