Well, I finally finished Taniel, properly, a week or so ago. I captured that first moment of pristine manuscript with the Nokia Lumia 530 windows phone. I can hardly wait until I hold the paperback in my hands – but that will not be before Book two is done. By then, I will have ironed out all problems in this first book before it is immortalized in print.

We’ve had our trip to Adelaide to help my mum move house. I’m glad we made the effort to arrive the day before the removal van came as she said she would have been overwhelmed on the day. The transition went smoothly but we were grateful she had only been moved about 5 minutes drive away as we did a few trips ferrying pot plants and garden equipment and then unscrewing the things she wanted from the walls – key-holders,towel racks, that sort of thing. Then it was unpacking cardboard cartons, fitting light shades and curtains. It was a lot of fun and a good bonding experience for me and my mum.
I did not even get to the beach. I never go to Adelaide without visiting the seaside.

Our airbed, used only a few times before, decided to stay up just long enough to keep us off the floor for the three nights. Despite that, I slept like a top the final evening.
Mum moved into a lovely two-bed unit with a large living area and decently sized bedrooms. Her old bathroom would fit in her laundry in the new house. The bathroom has a bath and lots of space. Mum loves it, though it was a big upheaval for an 80-year-old.
I came home exhausted, some 1535+ kms later.

Vika missed out on her walks and managed not to trip mum up.
Thanks for looking.
