I wish I had thought to use the zoom on the digital camera more than the once. I hadn’t realised it would work as well. These other photos were taken on the Nokia windows phone.

Rainbow lorikeets on my front fence (Nokia Lumia 530)
I very nearly had a photo of a silver-eye bathing in the small top pond, but the sun shining on the window foiled my plans. This is why you aren’t seeing the cockatoos lately – too many reflections on the window glass throwing back into the lens.
I coaxed the lorikeets out of the tree with some apple, else I wouldn’t be able to show you those, either! They let me get quite close to them.

I’ve photographed this pretty Aussie Grapevine Moth (Phalaenoides glycinae) last year, but not managed to so far in 2016 – until today. However, this one was very subdued and jumped on to my hand when I reached for a grape. Sort of puts one off eating the grapes just thinking that one of these moths may have pumped eggs in already! I did see a tiny caterpillar a few days ago.
