There wasn’t much about early yesterday, so I snapped some shots of sparrows in the tree next door – liking the way the light shone golden off this one in particular – before they flew away.

Wasn’t until I download just now, that I discovered it was a silvereye! The next one is a sparrow, though.

My photo session yesterday yielded these pretty birds, as well as the lovely honeyeaters. From their colouring, I’m assuming these are local Silvereyes. The Tasmanian ones have a yellow undertail and these clearly have white. Later on, these will move north and the Tasmanian ones will take their place.
