Outside my back door, a little while ago, one of the many bees in the mint. (Nikon D3000)

We arrived home on Wednesday, and feeling a little disoriented – having covered about 2000 kms over our sixteen days out with the camper trailer.  Had beaut visits with family, including several hours a day with my mum for a week – the most time I’ve spent with her for decades! On Friday, after a quick visit with my brother, we headed back towards Victoria, where I caught up with my daughter. I’ll tell you more, and share some of the hundreds of photos I took.

In the meantime, thanks for looking at my bees.

Here is another new-to-me visitor to my garden – a Dingy Swallowtail Butterfly. At first, I thought it was a grapevine moth but only when it finally settled did I realize my error. This lone butterfly is a large one, so I was somewhat surprised to discover it is also called a Small Citrus Butterfly. It constantly fluttered its wings and zoomed about. But, I eventually got a few images on the Nikon D3000.

I popped out late with the Nikon D3000 last night, hoping to capture the setting sun glinting from tree trunks against a stormy sky. Of course, as I grabbed my camera, the clouds moved and I missed it. I ended up with these interesting images. These are only cropped and bordered in GIMP. I love the textures, though I think these are what are called noisy photos.

I think I captured misty rain coming across the paddock in the next one. I didn’t notice it at the time, but when I walked around our house block to get closer to the kangaroos it caught up with me.

I stumbled across a heavily-discounted sale on Udemy the other day. I ended up buying a photography course, plus a couple of writing oriented ones. Every time I venture into my Nikon D3000 for Dummies book, I leave it keen, but forget pretty quick. Hoping this course will help. I’ll take my time and learn each step before moving on.

Thanks for visiting. Do have a great week.
