I adore bees. One can never have too many posts about bees. Especially as we may not have ANY more ere too much more time has passed: they say it’s only a matter of it (time) …

  2. It’s wonderful to see the bees Christine. Without them we’d be lost and crops would fail.
Apparently in New Zealand there’s a problem. Let’s keep our fingers crossed we can keep our bees safe from extinction.

  3. Wonderful photos. There’s something about bees that reaches out to many people. Whether it’s simply their industrious nature, human reliance on their sweet honey for so long, or the fact that we associate them so closely with the natural beauty of the Earth, I don’t know. Their droning sound alone is so lulling, a balm to the anxious or troubled mind. All in all, the world would not be the same without them.

    • Hi Yvette, the yellow tone came about from it being such an overcast day, I think, as well as a backdrop of summer dried long grass. Our bees are really healthy about here. They get the gardens and grasses in the area, as well as the flowering forest and roadside trees. I think we have some non-native bees as well.
