Spotted this pretty Eurymeloides bicincta at the end of January on a hebe bush. I introduced this little beetle back in December.

I’ve only ever seen the two, Barbara. Must have jumped down from the gum tree above, only explanation I can think of. 🙂

Isn’t nature amazing in its ability to camouflage and adapt to conditions???? You must be as fascinated as I am…you seem to appreciate the mysteries as evidenced by your photos…always interesting.

It’s amazing all right, Carol Ann! I could hardly believe my eyes the first time. I’m always looking out for a new creature to share with you all. 🙂

It’s taken me almost 60 years, so they musn’t be that common, Kayti. It’s native to our south-eastern part of Australia.

All the leafhoppers are so cute. Some more beautiful, some weird. I have a photo of a Buffalo something-or-other, and I sort of love the little green horned beast.

Leafhoppers are new to me, Babe. Oh wow, I love that Buffalo beastie! I’ll see if I can add a photo from wikipedia.![By Erik Dziggel (Own work) [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons](https://i0.wp.com/upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/91/Bueffelzikade.jpg)

Very pretty, the only other ones I have seen have been very plain and drab. You have a great collection of bugs in your area.
