Haiku: Zestful

Ronovan Write’s Weekly Haiku Challenge #88

The words are Lift & Plan

haiku

As usual I’ve used the haiku in English form (5 /7 / 5 syllables)

The two sentences …

Lift the fog of dreams, season your everyday with zest.

Season your everyday with zest, plan to live your life.

The opposites …

I’ve lived much of my life always looking forward to that impossible  day in the future when I would have everything I wanted in life – even though I never really knew what that was. I pretty much spent my childhood with my nose in a book. I did the same with my first marriage, and when I wasn’t reading I had weird stuff going on in my head for most of those seventeen years.

Since I started blogging, I’ve become acutely aware of my surroundings and more recently, I’ve discovered the benefit of planning ahead. Mr R had to rub off on me, eventually! He likes to know exactly what is happening each hour, day, week, month, year. I have not arrived at the stage where I’m living each day as if it is my last, but I’m trying.

The image …

I’ve just had a quick look on the web to identify this pretty little butterfly – the Grass Blue.  The photo was taken this week with the Nikon D3000. I’ll share some more of it, tomorrow.

Zizina labradus, commonly known as the Common Grass Blue, Grass Blue, or Clover Blue, is a small Australian butterfly of the Lycaenidae family.  Wikipedia

Have a good day, and thanks for reading.  🙂
