All these photos are of the same sulphur-crested cockatoo in rapidly changing light conditions. There were more cockies but they flew away when I came out with the camera. It was a very cold day, yesterday, with snow in lower areas than is usual. (Nikon D3000 on auto, cropped and overly-sharpened in GIMP)
I love the last image. The cockie glows in sunshine against the sullen sky.

Poor little fellow, he must have been freezing. Looks like he has fluffed his feathers up and it has made him look like a big white budgie in the last photo.

It was only about 4 degrees most of the day and the cockies and galahs were sitting around all fluffed up.
