I’ve been looking over my neighbour’s fence again, armed with the Nikon D3000. These fairy-wrens in a rose bush made my morning.
It is damp underfoot with melting frost.
Thanks for looking. Do have a good day!

My goodness they must be small. I can see the aphids on the leaves & buds. Hope they eat them for you

Next door, Sue. No doubt, my roses have just as many! Natural bird feed. 🙂

They’re a cute little thing! These are the ones where the male turns partly blue for part of the year. Thanks for dropping in Irene! 🙂

Wrens are among my favorite birds; I like their self-contained ways and smallness. I smiled at my visual of you peeking over your neighbor’s fence with your camera to get these shots.

I was just running around in my yard in my pjs (yes, after lunch) and peering over the fence again. I have a young golden whistler visiting and I cannot get a shot. It landed in front of me, too close for my bigger lens to focus! or my brain to activate my fingers.
