White-faced Heron, chasing fish fry (Nikon D3000)

This heron fished in the river, right in front of us. There were small schools of tiny, almost invisible fish fry dashing about. He about-turned and gave chase.

    Thank god for the supermarket. I would not be very good as a bird. Imagine having to spend all day looking for food. You get home and the hubby says – what fish again???
