Oh, please, I can’t handle heatwaves. I think I have a high % of Neanderthal genes. Red hair, fair skin, given to holding onto that summer glut in the form of fat to see me through the winter dearth; short, big bones, sturdy. Yes, apart from the sloping forehead and lack of chin … Neanderthal genes. Alas, inherited from my ma, when all else in the family got a heavy whack of my father’s makeup (black hair, easily tans, eat an entire Christmas cake and not put on weight)

Hate people that can eat a whole cake and not get fat. It has been icy cold in South Australia. The dampness makes it colder, what is worse though is that during the day the sun has been shining and making it look warm.
