The bees love my Cistus …

I love the Cistus shrub, too. It’s also called a sun rose or a rock rose, probably because the flowers close at night, slowly unfurling as the sun rises. My plant is a lowish, spreading type. I love the crinkled papery look of the petals. I hope you enjoy seeing the bees as much as I do.

The grass is dying off, but the deciduous trees are leafing up nicely. That’s the Grevillea bush left front. It’s a wonderful walk along this service road.   (Nokia Lumia 530 windows phone, on auto)

I’m being very lazy today. I read too late last night. Saving my energy for the bit of work I have to do. Tomorrow is anew day. Oh – speaking of tomorrow – I reverted my tagline back to the original one.   🙂

As you can see, it is a lovely sunny day here. We’re expecting to reach 30C or higher. The grass is running to seed already, and the spring bulbs are dying back.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. We’ve had a long one, as our Premier gave us a public holiday on Friday, it being the eve of our Australian Football League’s Grand Final which was held in Melbourne yesterday.

I did a blog post about the Grand Final last year. Hawthorn has now won three years running.

It means my fantasy footy season is over, too.  I didn’t go in as many ‘leagues’ as usual this year. I favour the draft style game, were where we have unique players within our league. Mr R is still quite bemused how I manage to get in the upper half of the rankings when I spend barely an hour each week on my teams. He probably has his team done for next year already … LOL.

Catch you later. This time, I really am going offline.  Where has the day gone! We only have 23 hours today, since we began daylight saving this morning.

Take care of yourselves.   🙂
