The sulphur-crested cockatoo, cruising by, as usual, on our walk today.

Damn near sun-blinded myself following it across the sky with the Nikon D3000!

Fortunately, I closed my eyes in time – and yanked the camera down.

I love the way the cockatoo looks so neat when flying, his feet tucked up under him. Taken a couple of days ago, when we had partly blue skies for our walk.

Its sulphur crest is tucked back between its shoulders.

Earlier today, on our walk in the side lane, a flock of cockatoos flew screeching overhead. This one decided to land. There was a bird of prey circling, so I think it was hiding from that.
